Earlwood House, New Build
New Build
The Location
Opposite a reserve in a quiet street with a mix of period homes and those of other decades.
On paper this is a generous home with a great floor plan, a contemporary façade but very little visual interest. It was in danger of falling flat!
The Client
A busy family of five. Lovely clients who gave me full rein and are over the moon with the outcome.
The Brief
The client really didn’t know what she was looking for with this new build and had very little time to research what she did like. My role was to unlock her aesthetic and bring it to life.
The Exterior
The addition of stone and timber elements and a statement front door in brass and bronze make for a handsome home.
The Interior
Marble, timber, grass-cloth and textiles used thoughtfully provide the intricacies to what was otherwise a sparsely detailed envelope.
The Look
A contemporary home that oozes casual elegance and sits comfortably and thoughtfully among its neighbours. Longevity was the goal and I think we nailed it!
