The Location

A Sydney bayside enclave surrounded by stately homes of distinctive styles.

The Client

A busy professional family, who have a love of American home style after living abroad for many years. Whilst they had key pieces shipped back with them, they require the all-important connective items. I’m tasked with bringing to life the style of the home.

The Brief

Whilst the home has undergone a beautiful renovation, and they have most of the furniture sorted it looks like furniture has been just delivered it’s missing the cohesive feeling found in the homes in the US. I’ve been asked to inject the feeling of warmth and welcoming.

The Interior

My lovely client has a love of more traditional fabrics than you’d see in my previous projects but my knowledge of colour, texture and how to combine elements means that although her style is different to mine I can blend the two. I’ll be adding loads of texture through wallcoverings and some more contemporary furniture pieces, so the home has less of a themed style. I have an appreciation for most styles/eras so am excited to turn my hand to something new.
