Window furnishings such as curtains, blinds and shutters are a significant investment. However, they are often the last item to be considered during a build or renovation.
They play a major role through aesthetics, framing a
stunning a view or obscuring a less attractive one. You can
create a sense of drama and add warmth or an airy breezy feel in your home.
Window treatments really are the icing on the cake, and most rooms will come to life with a well-dressed window. It doesn’t end there though… while it is important to consider aesthetics, you will also need to control light, temperature, privacy and ventilation. It is crucial to get it right the first time.

Why go to the expense of using a decorator when I can use a Blind company?
Well, firstly you don’t pay any more for my expertise!! My rates are competitive everyday and don’t
need to go on sale.
Blinds and Shutters are sold by many companies. They work on high turnover and hard-sell techniques… 25% off limited time, ½ price today only etc. Sales persons are exactly that, their experience is in sales not home decoration or design. They have no experience in colour, texture, pattern or fabric, no interior decoration knowledge or experience.

We have been called onto many jobs where the incorrect application of shutters has made it a nightmare to access sliding doors. Too many shutters on a window and shutters that don’t line up with window frames can look unsightly from the exterior.
Colour selection is an all too common problem. Tone is critical to consider when putting together a colour palette. High contrast between the shutter colour and the exterior wall colour instead of a hue which will give a harmonious aesthetics a very costly mistake. An investment of this type needs careful consideration.
